About

This is the working research website of Luciano Azzigotti, dedicated to Speculative Organology: Composing Instruments, Objects and Environments, in the context of artistic research at the Norwegian Academy of Music (NMH), Oslo.

The project asks how the invention of instruments can become a compositional practice. It connects conceptual work with materials research, acoustic modelling, instrument making, software, rehearsal and performance.

The public pages are edited from the project's research vault. They introduce the model, methods and artistic intentions. The writing studio is an authenticated workspace for the evolving dissertation and its review process.

Research context

The work engages with questions of embodied and adaptive artificial intelligence in creative practice, including the MishMash research context. It examines AI within systems for sensing, listening and acting, and asks how agency is distributed across performers, objects and environments.

Website and attribution

The public website is built with Astro by Luciano Azzigotti, drawing on Roman Hauksson's academic project page template, itself adapted from work by Eliahu Horwitz and the Nerfies project. The authenticated writing tools reuse the Musiki framework.
